René Goscinny

René Goscinny (, ; 14 August 1926 – 5 November 1977) was a French comic editor and writer of Polish descent, who created the ''Astérix'' comic book series with illustrator Albert Uderzo. He also worked on the comic series ''Lucky Luke'' with Morris (considered the series' golden age) and ''Iznogoud'' with Jean Tabary. He also wrote a series of children's books known as "''Le Petit Nicolas''" series (Little Nicolas). Provided by Wikipedia
